Rhox
Personality/Physical Description
Rhox are humanoid rhinos. Most have rough grey skin, though some tribes have been known to be made up of albino or black skinned Rhox. They are strong and muscular creatures. Although they make use of other weapons, a Rhox is never unarmed as long as they have their horns. Warrior Rhox have various degrees of tattoos depicting their place in society and their feats in battle.
Rhox are quick tempered, and always at least a little grumpy. Because of their attitudes toward other races, they are typically awkward, while simultaneously intimidating to interact with.
Relations
Rhox are distrusting of other races. They tend to avoid others, even other tribes of Rhox. The majority of their interactions with other races and other Rhox tribes are disputes and battles over territory. Unfortunately, most non-Rhox races have no idea there is a dispute until they are being attacked by a tribe of Rhox.
Alignment
Rhox tend to be both Chaotic and Neutral in their alignment. Other types of alignments don’t seem to click very well within Rhox society.
Lands
Rhox live on tropical islands. They prefer to live inland, sometimes building their villages at the bottom of stagnant volcanos.
Religion
Most Rhox tribes do not worship any gods. There are no stories among most Rhox culture about a god creating their race, and so they see no reason to offer praise to gods of other races.
There are a few Rhox tribes that worship Kord, although in their belief Kord is truely a Rhox himself. They believe the belief that Kord appears as a man is blasphemy, and a lie created by humans...who are obsessed with themselves. Kord, is known to the Rhox that worship him as the Grand Warlord and the Great Horn. He is Chaotic Neutral in nature. Those few Rhox that follow Kord paint the tips of their horns red as a symbol of where their allegiance lies.
Society
The Rhox people are split up into tribes that adamantly protect their territory from enemies and other tribes. Because borders are determined by each tribe separately, many tribes go to battle with each other in debate over the issue. Although they rarely kill each other, they will brutally beat another tribe down. They also have no qualms attacking trespassers and asking questions later.
A Rhox tribe is ruled over by a chieftain. A chieftain claims his status among his tribe. Any member of the tribe can at any moment challenge their chieftain in a one on one combat. If the contester wins the chief must step down as chief and the victor becomes the new chief. If however the chieftain wins, the contester is banished from their tribe forever. This leads to the fact that a tribe’s chieftain is often the biggest and strongest member of the tribe, and very rarely are they ever contested.
All Rhox have various members of tattoos that symbolize their conquests in battle and their status in their tribe.
A Rhox’s horn is a symbol of his honor. If a Rhox loses his horn he is outcast from his tribe, so not to dishonor them. In other instances of exile, when a Rhox is outcast, he will be held down by his former tribe mates and his horn is removed.
Language
Rhox have no language of their own. They speak common, but stray away from large and confusing words. Those who make use of a large vocabulary seem to quickly anger Rhox who find it hard to understand their words.
The most intelligent Rhox sometimes learn the languages of their enemies, so that they can communicate with them...when the rare opportunity comes.

Rhox have simple first names, and identify themselves with their tribe names.
